Frequently Asked Questions

Everything parents ask about GMA Educational Academy — organized by program.

Homeschool Academy

GMA Academy follows Tennessee’s umbrella school model through our curriculum partners. We use accredited K-12 curriculum software, which provides official transcripts and meets Tennessee homeschool requirements. Parents receive documentation compliant with state filing.

We deliver an accredited K-12 curriculum on-site, taught by dedicated teachers and tutors. Christian-based options are available. Students progress through academic milestones tied to our advancement system, with GPA requirements reinforced throughout.

Yes. Families can choose full-day (Monday–Friday, 10 AM – 5 PM) or partial schedules that integrate with home-based learning. Talk to us during your consultation and we’ll design a schedule that fits your family.

Full-day homeschool runs Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM. That includes academic instruction, homework support, physical education through martial arts, and supervised lunch breaks.

Yes. Families can request the Christian-based curriculum option during enrollment. We support families who want faith-integrated learning and those who prefer secular academics equally.

Yes. Every homeschool student receives structured physical education through our martial arts program — no separate PE class or gym membership needed. This fulfills Tennessee homeschool PE requirements while building coordination, discipline, and fitness.

After School Program

Don’t see your school? Call us at 731-324-3850 — we can often add stops.

The program runs from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with extended care available until 6:00 PM. Pickup from partner schools happens right after dismissal.

Yes. Every afternoon includes dedicated homework time with staff support. Report cards are part of our advancement criteria — academics come first. Private 45-minute tutoring sessions are also available separately at $30–40/hr for ages 6 and up.

A typical day includes: school pickup, daily snacks, supervised homework and tutoring, leadership and life skills training, physical education through martial arts (included free), Fun Fridays with themed activities, arts and crafts, and community events.

Ages 5 to 14. Every child receives a free private assessment before starting so we can place them with the right peer group and staff support.

Summer & Break Camps

Summer camp runs throughout the summer break in one-week sessions. We also offer break camps during spring, fall, and winter school breaks. Full schedules are posted each season — call 731-324-3850 or check our camp booking page for current dates.

Full-day structured programming from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Each day includes fitness and martial arts training, life skills curriculum, team challenges, arts and crafts, supervised play, two daily snacks, and Pizza Fridays. Weekly field trips are included in most sessions.

We limit capacity to 20–25 kids per week so each child gets real attention. This is intentionally smaller than most day camps — your child works with the same trusted staff from the school year, not seasonal hires.

Both. Families can register for individual weeks, multiple weeks, or the full summer. Multi-week discounts are available — ask about them when you book.

Yes. Most weeks include at least one field trip — past destinations have included local parks, bowling alleys, swimming pools, and educational sites. All field trips are supervised by background-checked staff at an industry-leading ratio.

Ages 5 to 14. Camp is structured so younger and older kids have age-appropriate activity tracks, but they come together for larger group events, field trips, and meals.

Enrollment & Getting Started

For homeschool and after school, the process is: (1) Book a free consultation with our team, (2) Bring your child in for a free private assessment, (3) We design a personalized integration plan, (4) Enroll and start. For summer camp, you can register directly — no consultation required.

View our pricing page for current rates, read our cost breakdown and value analysis, or ask during your consultation for the exact package that fits your family.
